Regional Training Workshop to Develop NCDs Investment Cases in the Eastern Mediterranean Region (EMR)

Location: REP Office Conference Room, 3rd Floor

The Health Economics and Financing Unit and the Non-communicable Diseases Management Unit at WHO Regional Office for the Eastern Mediterranean (WHO EMRO), the Applied Economics and Development Research Group and the Department of Economics at the American University of Beirut are jointly organizing a Workshop to train a selected group of economists from the Region in developing investment cases for NCDs prevention and control.

The specific objectives of the regional workshop are to:

Train a selected group of economists from the region on NCDs investment cases process including step-by-step approach and lessons learnt.
Build the capacity of participants on the use of WHO OneHealth Tool in the context of recent NCDs investment case guidance.
Establish a network of experts on NCDs investment cases and to enhance the collaborations between EMR Member States.
