Dr. Carlo Cafiero at FAFS

The Food Security program hosted Dr. Carlo Cafiero, a senior statistician and economist with the Food & Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), to give a lecture on “Measuring Food Security” on March 28. He discussed the realities and complexities of gathering, calculating and interpreting food security measures and indicators.

Dr. Cafiero previously taught at the University of Naples Federico II, Italy. His research appeared in academic journals including Food Policy, Food Security, and American Journal of Agricultural Economics.
