FAFS faculty, staff, and Department of Agriculture graduate students were invited to view student projects and to celebrate the end of summer courses at AREC during a Field Day on Thursday, July 26. AREC Director, Dr. Haidar, briefed the visitors about the objectives and learning outcomes of AGSC 223 course and projects and on ongoing research at AREC. Visitors toured the students' agricultural projects, which included poop pots, vertical strawberries, poultry production, aquaponics, organic vegetables, no-till potatoes, and more.
The event lasted for 2 hours, concluding with an outdoor lunch under a Bedouin tent. The attendees included AREC staff, Field Foreman Mr. Walid Hamieh. Drs. Abou Jawdeh, Farran, Saoud, and Jaafar, graduate students, research assistants, FAFS and AREC students, all of whom expressed their appreciation to Dr. Haidar for being invited to participate in the memorable event.
