AREC students at ICARDA

‚Äč‚ÄčAREC students, under the guidance of Dr. Mazen El Tamer, had the chance to visit ICARDA-Turbol twice this spring semester as part of AGSC 231. Students were briefed in the proper practices and functioning of the seed bank.

They acquired practical knowledge about classical breeding methods for several cereals and legumes through demonstrations that emphasized the role of genetics in agronomy and paid special attention to breeding practices.
