AREC students at Liban Lait

​​​On April 12, as part of their planned field activities in AVSC 222, General Livestock Production, AREC students toured the Liban Lait dairy plant and farm. The tour included a detailed explanation of milk and dairy products, including handling and quality assurance at the plant.

The farm’s veterinarian escorted the students through a full tour that included the milking parlor, manure management facilities, and the nursery (calf rearing unit). The trip concluded with a hands-on training in artificial insemination that allowed all the students to practice on live animals. The four-hour trip offered a unique opportunity to observe the real-time operation of a large-scale modern dairy farm, including  practice in artificial insemination, a valued technique in the livestock industry.​
