Crop management skills and seed production training at AREC

The International Center for Agricultural Research in Dry Areas (ICARDA) organized a training course on crop management skills and seed production in Lebanon at AREC (June 24 - July 2). The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and the Japanese Embassy funded the course.


 Participants included 20 PhD students and agricultural engineers from districts of Syria. During the three day course, Nicolas El Haddad, AREC Farm and Facilities M‚Äčanager, delivered lectures, practical demonstrations on farm machinery, and an introduction to types of seeders and chemical equipment, calibration methods and safety measurements.
