Establishing the Green Energy Poultry House at AREC

In the framework of AREC’s sustainable projects, the first clean technologies innovation unit, the green-energy poultry house, displays multiple renewable energy applications. Providing sustainable, integrated broiler production operations at AREC, the project uses renewable energy sources for heating and ventilation.

Additionally, the anaerobic digestion of the cow/chicken waste will produce improved biogas and fertilizers using a system calibrated to operate automatically. The first experiments will begin this month and include raising around 400 chicks for broilers production.
