The Landscape Architecture Student Society (LASS) participated in the 16th annual Garden Show and Spring Festival, the largest event of its kind in Beirut, representing LDEM and the faculty. Using the theme A Career in Landscape, LASS highlighted the profession of Landscape Architecture and its role in promoting nature and human wellbeing. At night, LASS’s Lights in the Garden attracted the attention of those interested in the field.
As part of the CLIMAT project’s marketing strategy, ESDU also took part in this festival, which provided an opportunity for producers from five Bekaa villages (Kherbet Kanafar, Saghbine, Rachaya, Arsal, Khiara) to market their products and serve their traditional village dishes through a live cooking show for festival visitors. The village women enjoyed cooking and explaining their local cuisine to the urban visitors, who delighted in the new tastes and cuisine.
