Professor Ahmed Abdel Wahab, Chemical Engineering Program, Texas A&M University-Qatar (TAMU-Q), and Zachry Department of Civil Engineering, TAMU, visited AUB FAFS the week of June 17 to explore opportunities presented by the existing partnership agreement between TAMU, TAMU-Q, the Texas A&M Engineering Experiment Stations (TEES) and AUB.

Dr. Abdel Wahab met with FAFS chairpersons, FAFS and Maroun Semaan Faculty of Engineering and Architecture (MSFEA) faculty, the Director of the Office of International Programs (OIP), the WEFRAH team and advisors, and the Director of the Lebanese Center for Energy Conservation at the Ministry of Energy and Water. The visit also presented the opportunity to explore a TAMU Global Engagement Grant Proposal and to identify other initiatives for developing collaboration in the context of the MoU signed by AUB, TAMU, TAMU-Q, and TEES, including potential research collaboration and opportunities for proposal submissions to the TAMU Global partnership Services Global Engagement Grant program. Dr. Abdel Wahab and those with whom he met also explored potential partnerships for a proposal to the Qatar National Research Fund (QNRF) Food Security Call, which aligns with AUB-TAMU-TAMUQ-TEES partnership agreement.
