Zeinab Cherri, former FAFS student who graduated with a BSc in Nutrition and Dietetics Coordinated Program was recently awarded the 120 under 40 grant for her work in family planning.

Passionate and aware of the many struggles faced by Syrian women face in Lebanon, Cherri produced evidence-based research to provide Syrian refugee women with better family planning services. The goal of Cherri’s work is to help these women make informed, healthy decisions in terms of sexual and reproductive health. Zeinab hopes to use the grant to continue her research on this specific issue in settings with humanitarian challenges. We are proud to have Zeinab Cherri as a successful FAFS alumna. The 120 under 40 award is organized by the Bill & Melinda Gates Institute for Population and Reproductive Health, at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
