The Ardi Ardak Initiative continues efforts to revive and secure national food security. This month 51,000 seedlings and 100 seed bags were distributed to the Bekaa, Tripoli, Beirut and Chouf regions. The seedlings included cauliflower, lettuce, and cabbage; the seed bags contain Rocca, parsley, and Swiss chard.
With the difficult economic times and the lockdown, the Ardi Ardak Initiative launched Agri-Ardak to help people reclaim and prepare their land for cultivation. Agri-Ardak offers technical assistance to those in need of more knowledge on best agricultural practices; seedlings and seed bags are distributed to beneficiaries free of charge and intended to help increase the percentage of cultivated lands in the affected areas.
