As the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic progresses, countries around the world are increasingly implementing a range of responses intended to help prevent its transmission. In the absence of a vaccine, the potential containment measures to suppress transmission of the virus, slow the growth rate of cases, and rapidly reduce case incidence was assessed.
Drs. Samer Kharroubi and Fatima Saleh used real time incidence data in Lebanon to explore the critical impact of country lockdown on the pandemic. Findings showed that the nationwide lockdown was effective in reducing cases and has been successful, thus far, in containing the virus. See the full article here.
