- Alumni Karavetian and Fakih create Arabic dietary application to help manage diet.
FAFS Alumni Mirey Karavetian (B.S. Nutrition & Dietetics, 2003 & M.S. Nutrition, 2007) and Cosette Fakih (B.S. Nutrition & Dietetics, 2003 & M.S. Nutrition, 2009), who are now at Zayed University in Abu Dhabi, and Lebanese American University in Lebanon respectively, created a mobile application called KELA.ae. The application is an Arabic dietary app designed to provide support for hemodialysis patients in managing their diet. Features of the app include self-monitoring and educational components. Bou Azza (B.S in agriculture and M.S. in Plant Protection) is now an ecological
restoration Senior Specialist at Lebanon Reforestation Initiative (LRI), where
she created an application that offers a non-invasive technique for identifying
