In the beginning of 2020, ESDU has started, in partnership with Acted Lebanon, DOT Lebanon and ABAAD Mena, the implementation of the “Women's Economic Participation" project's activities under LHSP-UNDP programme.
Due to the COVID-19 lockdown and since the safety of our teams and the participants are always a priority, the project's partners decided to freeze all activities temporarily and introduced new virtual solutions to keep the project progressing. Since beginning of June, ESDU has started the outreach activities to recruit participants in Bekaa & South of Lebanon, and ESDU trainers succeeded to launch virtual trainings on June 29. This project will include different activities such as conducting informative & practical training sessions, establishing demo-plots, distributing toolkits to beneficiaries and engaging coops/SMEs/start-ups.
