ESDU and FHF Launch Source of Unique Nutrition in Apartment Complex

Within the framework of the Ardi Ardak Initiative, the Environment and Sustainable  Development Unit (ESDU), in collaboration with the Food Heritage Foundation (FHF), have partnered with the private sector to provide technical support to Lebanese citizens who want to invest in agriculture to produce healthy food for the communities around them. A sustainable garden in the “Sky Towers" apartment complex in Dawhet Aramoun is expected to become a source of unique collaboration that provides nutrition and for the dwellers of the complex. The garden will produce organically grown vegetables, free-range eggs, and workshops on agro-ecological practices. An additional community-based project is located in Hammana, where ESDU and FHF are launching “Ard Jeddeh" to serve as a model for sustainable farming: creating job opportunities for the local community and networking opportunities with neighboring farmers.
