Ms. Rachel Bahn of FAFS' Food Security Program delivered a virtual presentation to the Food Security and Agriculture Sector Regional Working Group -Beirut, Mount Lebanon, and South- (June 25). The meeting, held virtually via Microsoft Teams, drew a range of stakeholders, including international and local groups and NGOs working on related food security and agriculture issues (WFP, FAO, UNHCR, ACTED, Shield, and many others). During her presentation, Ms. Bahn reviewed the impacts of the economic crisis and COVID-19 on Lebanon's agriculture sector and food security. She provided a summary of the Food Security Program Online Seminar Series Impact of COVID-19 on Global Food Security which ran through this spring and which is available online.
