FAFS at Water JPI workshop: Cooperation beyond Europe: the water-energy-food nexus

​​​Dean Mohtar was keynote speaker at the Water JPI workshop (December 3-4) on cooperation with countries beyond Europe in research and innovation in the water sector. The Dean participated in two sessions, during which he highlighted the importance of the water-food-energy nexus in identifying the new sources of water, such as treatment, recycling, use, and reuse, to aid in addressing the scarcity challenge. 

Dean Mohtar also addressed the importance of providing and steering increased research around the topic of new water and the necessity of international cooperation, including perspectives of the global south. ​
