As AREC opens back up to its students, faculty members have continued to be hard at work conducting multiple research projects within the facility. Currently, four ongoing research projects conducted by FAFS faculty professors include:
- Cover crops for Orobanche management in potato, Dr. Mustapha Haidar
- Management of potato growth with fertilizers, Dr. Isam Bashour
- Mapping water use, Phenology and Productivity in Agricultural Landscapes by Fusing Multi-Sensor Data Products, Dr. Hadi Jaafar
- Integrated aquaculture-agriculture system: biological control of insects with Amblyseius swirskii and Phytoseiulus persimilis in peppe, Drs. Imad Saoud, Mustapha Haidar and Yusuf Abu-Jawdeh.
These projects are all integral in continuing the growth and education of AREC, and can also aid local farmers, communities and families during the COVID-19 pandemic and the current economical crisis.
