ESDU has worked to implement the activities of the “Women's Economic Participation" (WEP) project. So far, 28 virtual training sessions were conducted, using WhatsApp, for 105 beneficiaries in 7 groups. As part of their capacity building strategy, the team is planning the development of demo-plots, which will be fully operational by the end of the project. They will assess the needs of cooperatives and SMEs to accommodate the plans in accordance to essential needs. WEP was launched to address the limited economic opportunities available to women. To spur potential for innovation and to empower and build capacity among the participating women, the project implements various approaches to new knowledge, including technical, soft, and leadership skills, confidence, and mobility.
