Three projects from the Department of Agriculture were selected to join Create-X, a Georgia Tech program brought to AUB in collaboration with the Middle East Partnership Initiative (MEPI)- Tomorrow's Leaders Program(TLP) (MEPI-TLP) that aims to bridge the skills gap between businesses, industries, and students. Projects include a partnership between students, faculty members, and industry partners. The 1-year program provides technical and entrepreneurship training to students and guides them in the creation of successful startups. The three Agri projects celebrated their Kickoff June 1, 2021. The projects and their supervisors are:
- Urea Production – Dr. Isam Bashour
- Willows as the Future of Bioenergy and Biofuel Feedstock – Dr. Walid El Kayal
- Development of a Farm-scale Biochar Pyrolizer – Dr. Sandra Yanni
