The FAFS External Advisory Board (EAB) members brought their foresight and expertise to help FAFS in the integration of the various Agriculture graduate programs into one Master's degree program with concentration in different subspecialties.
A series of meetings were conducted and a survey was shared with all of the members of the EAB to solicit their feedback prior to a meeting that was conducted with them and the Department of Agriculture to discuss feedback and recommendations. The outcome of the aforementioned deliberations is a recommendation to integrate the Agriculture graduate programs into one overarching degree to capture the agricultural sciences and technology aspects of the programs. EAB played a tremendous role in highlighting the private sector needs that future FAFS graduates must have in order to be productive from day-one on the job.
This project is yet an example of the remarkable added value that EAB brings to FAFS and its various departments. We look forward for more cooperation and advice from EAB.
