FAFS Student Awardees recognized during FAFS Virtual Celebration and Award Ceremony​

During the FAFS Virtual Celebration and Award Ceremony​ that was held on June 28, 2021, FAFS recognized students who received awards during their final year at FAFS. 

The graduates received multiple awards, as listed below:

·         Edgecombe Memorial Prize to an outstanding graduating student from the Agriculture Program, awarded to Ms. Tracy Khalil.

·         Kashadurian Award to an AREC student who has shown outstanding performance in farm skills and practices and appreciation for farm life at AREC, awarded to Ms. Farah Kamaleddin.

·         The Joana Haidar Award to an AREC student who is environmentally aware and interested in agricultural practices and development, awarded to Mr. Shady Youssef.

·         The Dr. Musa Najib Nimah Endowed Award for Academic Excellence to a graduating student at the undergraduate level from the Agriculture Program who has the highest cumulative GPA, awarded to Ms. Eliana Al Kharrat.

·         The Nehme Moujaess Student Award in Landscape Architecture to a final year Landscape Architecture student whose final year project is selected by the LDEM Department as the most deserving, awarded to Mr. Ali Abu Aleid.

·         The Nehme Moujaess Student Award in Landscape Architecture to a final year Landscape Architecture student whose final year project is selected by the LDEM Department as the most deserving, awarded to Ms. Luna Mansour.

·         Abdul Hadi Debs Endowment Award for Academic Excellence to a student with an outstanding academic record that has demonstrated research capabilities through a manuscript, project, or thesis deemed worthy of publication, awarded to Ms. Myriam Dagher.

·         Abdul Hadi Debs Endowment Award for Academic Excellence to a student with an outstanding academic record that has demonstrated their research capabilities through a manuscript, project, or thesis deemed worthy of publication, awarded to Ms. Roya Mourad.

·         Dean Thomas Sutherland Prize for Graduate Excellence to an M.Sc. graduate with the thesis judged best overall for design, research, presentation, and contribution to its field, awarded to Ms. Nour Ezzeddine.

·         Dean Thomas Sutherland Prize for Graduate Excellence to an M.Sc. graduate with the thesis judged best overall for design, research, presentation, and contribution to its field, awarded to Ms. Myra Zeineddine.

·         Penrose Award to the outstanding undergraduate student on the basis of scholarship, character, leadership, and contribution to the university life, awarded to Ms. Luna Mansour.

·         Dean Thomas Sutherland Prize for Undergraduate Excellence to the recipient of the Penrose Award, awarded to Ms. Luna Mansour.

·         Sleiman-Fischer Award to undergraduate FAFS students who demonstrate academic promise in the fields of agriculture, food, or water security in the Middle East region or Africa, awarded to Ms. Luna Mansour.

·         Sleiman-Fischer Award to undergraduate FAFS students who demonstrate academic promise in the fields of agriculture, food, or water security in the Middle East region or Africa, awarded to Mr. Mark Beirouthy.

·         Sleiman-Fischer Award to undergraduate FAFS students who demonstrate academic promise in the fields of agriculture, food, or water security in the Middle East region or Africa, awarded to Ms. Nivine Manasfi.

·         Nahla Hwalla Award in Nutrition and Dietetics to a graduating student from the Nutrition and Dietetics Coordinated Program who has outstanding academic performance and exhibited collegiality and leadership with active engagement in student life to promote principles of health and wellbeing, awarded to Ms. Nour Deeb.

·         The Aiman Suleiman Student Development Award to the student(s) or team(s) that receive(s) the highest ranking in one or more of the following areas: community support building through student experiential learning; effective deployment of resources; empowering student success; student learning and data gathering through informational interviews, focus groups, and surveys; practical solutions to real-life challenges, awarded to:
