As part of the second edition of their international training boot camps the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the Future Food Institute (FFI) selected Food and Roots to present its traditionally innovative brand as a case study during the Food & Climate Shapers Boot Camps webinar. Launched by FAO and FFI, the boot camps are designed to address and mitigate the climate crisis through the regeneration of agri-food systems by identifying, training, and engaging change-makers from around the world who are key figures in the circular and sustainable food chain with the goal of empowering people to act on climate change.
Food and Roots is a new innovative, socially engaged brand that refines traditional, rural food products from across Lebanon to fit modern life. The brand endeavors to empower and create market access for local small-scale producers by gathering, packaging, and selling their products via several urban points of sale.
