Meet Food and Roots, an innovative, socially engaged brand that refines traditional Lebanese food products from rural areas to fit modern life.
Launched by the Food Heritage Foundation and supported by ESDU, Food and Roots endeavors to create market access and empower local small-scale producers by gathering, packaging, and selling their products via several urban points of sale. They have a range of seed-to-table products including fresh produce, processed mouneh and ready-to-eat/ready-to-cook products made from ingredients and food sourced from carefully chosen small-scale producers including farmers and cooperatives from different rural areas in Lebanon.
In March, Food and Roots launched a website where all their products can be found and delivered to your doorstep across Lebanon. They will eventually be available through various urban points of sale. To benefit from networking opportunities and attract customers and potential retailers, Food and Roots will be present at different events and exhibitions in Lebanon during 2021.
