LDEM part time faculty member Wissam Melhem organizes Simulacrum art exhibition

In collaboration with Art On 56th Gallery, LDEM Part-Time faculty member Wissam Melhem, a Lebanese architect, landscape designer, and emerging artist, organized the exhibition "Simulacrum" at Arthaus Beirut (April 07-10). His series Simulacrum 2021 portrays the true feeling of love through an image, a line, or both to provide a depiction of true love in a way that opens the mind to creative dreams and reaches the core of the heart.

It is an achievement in the simplicity of image that captures the complexity of love. Accompanied by the gestural freedoms and experiments of the artist, Wissam's work presents strong visual compositions with impressive elements and results in paintings with both intellectual and emotional impact. Wissam Melhem is an experienced architect and educator, working for over 10 years as Senior Architect at Nadim Karam and Hapsitus Architects in Beirut.
