AUB's NAWAMED team, led by Dr. Yaser Abunnasr, participated in and contributed to the e-workshop organized by the Tunisian project-partner CERTE (Centre for Research and Water Technologies) with support from IRIDRA, Italy.
e-TWS focuses on nature-based solutions (NBS) for treating and recycling greywater. The workshop consisted of an open session (March 1), working groups on NAWAMED case studies, and related coaching sessions (March 2 to 8). CERTE and IRIDRA are partners in the EU funded NAWAMED project.
Thea Maria Maroun, a member of the AUB team, represented the team as coach to the participants. Nature Based Solutions for Domestic Water Reuse in Mediterranean Countries (NAWAMED) aims at changing the urban water management practice through innovative, sustainable, low-cost treatment technologies that are applicable in a decentralized way and can replace the use of potable water with good quality of NCW. Partner countries include Italy, Tunisia, Jordan, Malta, Lebanon (AUB, led by Dr. Yaser Abunnasr, Chair of the LDEM Dept./ FAFS).
