Sanabel Landscape Architecture Urban Design and Planning won the First Arabia Award for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) 2021 in its fourteenth cycle in the category of 'Small Companies', at the awards gala event organized by the Arabia CSR Network in Dubai, among 100 companies that participated in the award. Regarded as one of the 'Green Oscars of the Middle East'; the award recognized the corporate social responsibility (CSR) principles and implementation strategies of Sanabel.
Zeena Al Jaajaa, CEO & Head of Design Department, stated in her speech after receiving the award, “we consider ourselves an integral part of this planet, so we are keen to maintain it through our designs and research; environmentally, aesthetically, socially and economically. We also aim to achieve and implement well studied social responsibility programs to promote the well-being of our local and regional communities and raise awareness in protecting the environment, and enhance the genuine concept of food security."
This award comes as a culmination of Sanabel's continuous efforts since its founding in 1985 as a Jordanian-Lebanese company specialized in landscape design and urban design.
Sanabel designed and executed many successful sustainable projects in Jordan and the Arab Region, and has had green imprints through its distinguished projects. Projects like the development of the Hashemite Plaza and Parks in the downtown of Amman, public parks in Aqaba such as Tunisian Baths and Al Darb Parks, the Aga Khan Award-winning children's village project (SOS) and the environmentally friendly Crowne Plaza Hotel in Muscat gained local and international recognition.
