Three living labs are being established in Hasbaya, Akkar and Baalbek in the framework of CLIMAT 2 project in partnership with the local communities. Each unit will include a barley sprouting unit, solar system, rain harvest unit, and a composting unit.
These living labs aim at promoting the circular economy, interactively exploring, experimenting and evaluating new techniques and technologies, fostering capacity building and awareness raising, and supporting local famers and producers. Workshops were conducted for the coops in Akkar and Hasbaya which will host the living labs, to reiterate the objective and concept behind the living labs to the coop members.
