Department of Nutrition and Food Sciences continues to be recognized by EASO as a leading obesity management center

The Obesity Management Task Force (OMTF) of the European Association for the Study of Obesity (EASO) has renewed the Department of Nutrition and Food Sciences (NFSC) accreditation application for a further two-year period from 1st August 2022 to 30th July 2024. NFSC will continue to be recognized by EASO as a leading obesity management center throughout that period.

Under the EASO Collaborating Centers for Obesity Management (COMs) scheme, obesity management centers are accredited against a set of carefully developed criteria and in accordance with accepted European and academic guidelines. One of the main goals of the COM network is to develop consensus guidelines on a number of management issues, with consensus achieved via the exchange of expertise.
