As part of the American University of Beirut graduate student in Public Health Nutrition Program, FAFS Graduate Student Ms. Lamia Ghernati's project NUTRIKID was selected for this year's Global Grad Show edition. The project is part of the 150 game-changing projects, picked from more than 2,600 applications in 464 universities across 70 countries.
NUTRIKID is an eLearning platform that teaches children basic nutrition using interactivity and gamification. It uses a holistic approach as the learning is backed by complementary components such as games apps, eBooks, books, coloring books, videos for a more integrative learning.
NUTRIKID is composed of modules that can be constantly supplied and updated with new teaching contents. Children will be introduced to fundamental human Nutrition and its relationship with growth and health using staged modules. They will be able to apply, practice and enforce their knowledge via the complementary components that will grow in parallel with the modules.
NUTRIKID was also selected for MENA Grad Show which took place as an exhibition as part of Dubai Design week, in addition to its selection for the Global Grad Show Entrepreneurship Programme.
