Hanneen Dwaib mentored by Omar Obeid receives the Paul Dudley White International Scholar Award

Dr. Haneen Dwaib, under the mentorship and guidance of Dr. Omar Obeid, Chair and Professor at the Department of Nutrition and Food Sciences, has been awarded the Paul Dudley White International Scholar Award. The award is presented to the highest-ranked abstract submitted from each country to the American Heart Association.

Dr. Dwaib is a graduate of the Doctoral Program in Biomedical Sciences - Nutrition emphasis at AUB. Dr. Dwaib's research focuses on the sexual dimorphism of therapeutic fasting in mitigating metabolic and cardiovascular dysfunction in prediabetes.

Dr. Dwaib and the abstract co-authors will be acknowledged during the American Heart Association Scientific Sessions 2022 in Chicago, USA (Nov. 5^th -7^th).
