Landscape architecture project proposal, led by LDEM alumnae, recognized at the Sustainability Innovation Awards 2022

Studiolibani, a landscape architecture and urbanism consulting agency co-founded by Dima Rachid and Leah Moukarzel (LDEM alumnae, 2010), led the Horsh Beirut, Harnessing Ecology and Infrastructure project proposal as part of the initiative by NAHNOO, a youth-led non-governmental organization advocating the need to open Horsh Beirut to the public since 2009. Studiolibani focuses on alternative thinking in urban infrastructure and resilience via impact-driven design strategies of aesthetic and ecological value.

On the 16th of June, the project was recognized at the Sustainability Innovation Awards 2022 hosted by BNC Publishing in Dubai, UAE, under the Sustainable Landscape Architecture Future Project of the Year category. The Sustainability Innovation Awards is one of the leading events applauding the achievements of the region's sustainability initiatives and projects from all sectors in the Middle East. The event strives to recognize individual excellence, corporate strengths, and project success from various sectors.
