Living Lab in AREC

ESDU is currently establishing a living lab at AREC for the promotion of sustainable agricultural activities and practices. The demo-plot is used to teach, offer hands-on experience, showcase efficient techniques and best practices, compare the efficiency of different techniques, and share knowledge and skills on agricultural on-farm practices.

The purpose of this living lab is to engage ESDU's projects participants, local communities and CBOs (Community-based organizations) in sustainable agricultural practices. The living lab will include a nursery, barley unit, green house, and organic farming plot.

The living lab in AREC was upgraded by ISNAD project in 2020 - 2021 through the support of the World Food Programme MENA.
