As part of the department efforts to highlight the importance of hands-on experience, LDEM 204 studio instructor, Karim Basha, organized a field visit for second year landscape architecture students to Byblos on Feb. 11, 2022.
The visit aimed at reading different elements of the landscape, measuring their historical and archeological values as well as establishing initial contact with the area of intervention. Students were asked to understand their surroundings using AutoCAD maps, take photographic survey of the site and site measurements to validate the data. They also ceased the opportunity to interview stakeholders in and around the site.
