The Environment and Sustainable Development Unit (ESDU) hosted a "Meet and Greet Event" on Thursday December 8th at FAFS. The event brought together ESDU Team, ESDU Fundraising Ambassadors, and FAFS family and friends.
ESDU Director, Dr. Shady Hamade, highlighted ESDU’s mission and plans and stressed on the importance of the Keepers of the Land and the urgency of supporting them. During the event, ESDU team introduced the current projects/initiatives and the
Keepers of the Land Fund Raising Campaign.
ESDU Ambassador, Dr. Carla Habib Mourad, introduced the role of the Keepers of the Land Ambassadors in raising awareness and advocating about the campaign. Keepers of the Land success stories were presented live in the event. An intervention was made by the ESDU Ambassador, Ms. Lamis Jawhari, who introduced "Ard Jeddi Initiative". Given her strong love and belief towards the land, Ms. Jawhari revealed her intention to support FAFS'
RCODE program, to give students the opportunity to specialize in rural community development and support the land and its Keepers.
