  Founded in 1866, the American University of Beirut is a teaching-centered research university based on the American liberal arts model of higher education. AUB has over 8,000 students and 800 faculty members. AUB offers more than 130 programs leading to bachelor's, master's, MD, and PhD degrees. The main language of instruction is English.

Food is a massive industry with a global revenue of $8.66 trillion in 2022. Everybody needs to eat, and nowadays, the modern consumer wants food that is safe, tasty, nutritious, innovative, and readily available.

Join this challenging and interdisciplinary field and learn to apply scientific knowledge to make the best use of our food resources, minimize waste, ensure the wholesomeness of foods, and meet consumer demands. Through our BS in Food Science and Management, you will learn to apply scientific knowledge to translate consumer wishes into food products.
