Information provided in the Federal Direct Loan Section is obtained from the Federal Student Aid (FSA) website. Federal Student Aid is part of the U.S. Department of Education that makes and maintains all regulations pertinent to all federal student aid programs.
US federal student aid includes several types of programs under Title IV of the Higher Education Act (HEA), however, all eligible foreign schools, including AUB, can only participate in the William D. Ford Federal Direct Loan (Direct Loan) Program. Under the Direct Loan program eligible students and parents borrow directly from the U.S. Department of Education any or a combination of the following: Direct Subsidized, Direct Unsubsidized, Direct Graduate or Parent PLUS loans.
It you are a U.S. citizen or permanent residents, planning to join AUB or already enrolled you may be eligible to receive such federal aid loans through AUB's financial aid office.
The 2008 Higher Education Opportunity Act requires that all institutions adopt a Student Loan Code of Conduct which serves as the formal guiding principles in ensuring integrity of the student loan process and ensures the ethical conduct of employees in regard to student loan practices.
