Lina Jammal

​Lina Jammal, PhD candidate. She is interested manuscript studies, Abbasid Literature, and the intersection of literature and visual culture. Her thesis argues dream manuals should be a serious source to conceive culture and thought in Arabo-Islamic medieval societies. She has one published article, entitled: "Maqāmāt al-Hamadhānī: Masraḥ Bilā Khashaba" in Al-Mashriq (2017). Jammal holds a BA in Arabic Language and Literature from The Lebanese University (2008), and an MA in Arabic Language and Literature from Université Saint Joseph (2013).

من اهتمامات الجمّال البحثيّة تحقيق المخطوطات، ودراسة الأدب العبّاسيّ، وربط الموروث الأدبيّ بالثقافة المادّيّة. أمّا عنوان أطروحتها فهو "المنام والمكان: الأحلام في العصر العبّاسيّ بين السجن والارتحال." وقد نُشر لها: "مقامات الهمذانيّ: مسرحٌ بلا خشبة" في المشرق. )2017(. الجمّال حاصلة على إجازة تعليميّة في اللغة العربيّة وآدابها من الجامعة اللبنانيّة عام 2008، وعلى شهادة ماجستير في اللغة العربيّة وآدابها من الجامعة اليسوعيّة عام 2013.
