Riccardo Paredi

​​Riccardo Paredi is a PhD student in the Department of Arabic and Near Eastern Languages at the American University of Beirut. His research interests are: Sufism, Quranic studies, Islamic Theology and Muslims-Christians relations. He is currently investigating the development of the concept of ḥuzn (sadness, grief) in Early Sufism. He holds a B.A. from Università Statale di Milano in Linguistic and Cultural Mediation (2013). He obtained his M.A. at Université Saint-Joseph (Faculty of Religious Sciences, Institute of Muslim-Christian Studies).​

اهتماماته البحثيّة هي: التصوّف والدراسات القرآنيّة وعلم الكلام والدراسات الإسلاميّة – المسيحيّة. ويبحث باريدي حاليّاً في تطوّر مفهوم الحزن في التصوّف الإسلامي المبكّر. حصل باريدي على البكالوريوس من جامعة ميلانو في كلّيّة الوساطة اللغويّة والثقافيّة (2013) وعلى الماجستير من جامعة القدّيس يوسف في بيروت، كلّيّة العلوم الدينيّة (معهد العلاقات بين المسلمين والمسيحيّين).
