Dr. Moukaled earned her Ph.D. in Arabic Language and Literature in 2018 from both the Sorbonne University and the Lebanese University. She joined the Department of Arabic and Near Eastern Languages at AUB in September 2019. She is a member of the Research Center in the Middle East Mediterranean, INALCO – Sorbonne, also a member of the committee concerned in putting the exam for the International Program of Baccalaureate, and a member of the revising committee for the French Baccalaureate. Her recent publications include “Al Rahbani Theater – Study on Mays Al Reem”, “ Mythology in Modern Poetry”, and “ Creativity and bilingualism”. Her principal area of interest has been in the field of Arabic literary and heritage, as well as Modern Arabic. In fact, her thesis, entitled “Unsi al Hajj and Georges Jurdaq’s Semantic codes – Writers between journalism and literature”, as well as her memory, entitled “The Identity and Culture in Arab immigrant writers” focused on humor in Arabic heritage and in modern literature, and on the mythological heritages.
