The Graduate Diploma in Islamic Studies is an
online program that will offer you a competitive edge in multiple high-demand fields in the MENA region and prepare you to excel at roles requiring expertise in Islamic Studies.
This diploma combines theoretical knowledge of Islamic Studies with practical research experience, focusing on Islamic ethics while simultaneously training you to critically analyze Islamic texts and scriptures across both the social sciences and humanities.

A Unique Curriculum
This multidisciplinary diploma is the first of its kind to focus on the ethics and Maqasidic fiqh of the religion while also training students to analyze the underlying social and historical dynamics. Students will be prepared to take on roles in academia, journalism, consulting, and governmental institutions among others.

Admission Requirements
This diploma is open to students from all backgrounds. No previous experience is required! Because this a
graduate diploma, the admission requirements are the same as the Faculty of Arts and Sciences' requirements for a master's degree admission, namely the following:
- A bachelor's degree with a GPA of at least 80 percent (equivalent to 3.2/4 on the AUB Scale) in your major field of study and a cumulative average of at least 75 percent (equivalent to 2.7/4 on the AUB Scale).
- Applicants other than AUB graduates and graduates of recognized colleges or universities in North America, Great Britain, Australia, and New Zealand, must demonstrate proficiency in the English language through standardized tests.
