Summer Arabic Programs
  • The Center for Arab and Middle Eastern Middle Studies (CAMES)​ offers two Arabic language programs each summer: 
    The Arabic Language and Culture Program
    The Colloquial Lebanese Arabic Program

    ​​​​​​​​​​​​CAMES Summer Arabic Programs - ONLINE in summer 2021!

    • Online program dates: June 14 - July 30, 2021
    • NEW! Application deadline extended to May 3, 2021​
    • Tuition fees: $3,600 including a non-refundable $300 deposit.


    AUB will offer the CAMES summer Arabic programs online only in summer 2021. The programs will take place from June 14 - July 30 and will provide students with 9 credits of Arabic. We will offer live contact interactive classes at various levels in both of our programs: the Arabic Language and Culture Program, and the Lebanese Colloquial Arabic Language and Culture Program. Classes will meet for 4 hours per day and there will be office hours and one-on-one meetings with instructors. To accommodate students from around the world, we will hold our classes in the afternoons and evenings five days a week: Monday through Friday from 3:30 pm to 8:30 pm Beirut time.The classes will include varied activities targeting listening, speaking, writing, reading, and culture. 

    Class activities will include the following:

    • Small group\pair work
    • “Haki w Khbaar" small group live discussions
    • Individual meetings with instructors at least once a week to provide guidance and feedback
    • Films and guest speakers
