Sarah El Joueidi is an assistant professor of economics at the American University of Beirut. She received her Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Luxembourg in 2016. Her research fields are Macro-Finance, International Economics, Economic Geography, and Labor Economics. Her work focuses on the analysis of banking bubbles and banking regulation. She develops theoretical and empirical models to analyze the impact of regulations on economic key variables, with the aim to guide policy making. In addition, she is also studying the effect of subjective well-being on labor productivity.
