  Founded in 1866, the American University of Beirut is a teaching-centered research university based on the American liberal arts model of higher education. AUB has over 8,000 students and 800 faculty members. Algebra and Number Theory

The Algebra and Number Theory group of the Department is involved in a variety of fields, going from Ring Theory and Commutative Algebra to Number Theory, Automorphic Forms, and Representation Theory.

Activities, running projects, research networks

Kamal Khuri-Makdisi and Wissam Raji have establised the CAMS Number Theory Research Unit.
2024 CIMPA Summer School L-functions and Modular Forms in Number Theory , sponsored by CIMPA and CAMS.
