  Founded in 1866, the American University of Beirut is a teaching-centered research university based on the American liberal arts model of higher education. AUB has over 8,000 students and 800 faculty members.   AUB is accredited in the US by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education and includes six faculties: Arts and Sciences, Medicine, Engineering and Architecture, Agricultural and Food Sciences, Health Sciences, and Business. AUB offers more than 130 programs leading to bachelor's, master's, MD, and PhD degrees. The main language of instruction is English.

Our graduate programs

The Department of Political Studies and Public Administration (PSPA) offers three graduate programs: one leading to the degree of Master of Arts in Political Studies (POLS), one leading to the degree of Master of Arts in Public Administration (PUBA), and one leading to the degree of Master of Arts in Public Policy and International Affairs (PPIA).

Our Undergraduate programs

The Department of Political Studies and Public Administration (PSPA) offers two major programs: one leading to the degree of Bachelor of Arts in Political Studies (POLS) and one leading to the degree of Bachelor of Arts in Public Administration (PUBA). Students can also choose to fulfill a minor in the following subjects (political studies, public administration, public policy, international law, and citizenship).
