    Prospective Students

    Are you interested in the learning about the dynamics at work in political and administrative systems? If so, and you would like to acquire the intellectual and professional tools needed to make a difference in the world in which we live, we invite you to study at the Department of Political Studies and Public Administration at American University of Beirut, one of the oldest and most respected educational institutions in the Middle East.

    Acceptance to the MA program is on a competitive basis. To ensure your application receives the fullest possible consideration, submit your completed application packets and test scores to the University by the relevant deadlines. Applications packets must include:

    • A written statement of purpose (~400 to 500 words) that explains in detail why you would like to earn an MA degree from the Department of Political Studies and Public Administration, your intended academic and research focus, your field experience, and your professional aspirations;

    • Two current letters of recommendation, written by individuals who can comment on your academic qualifications, professional accomplishments, and character; and

    • Submission of relevant test scores (GRE and, if necessary, TOEFL).

    PSPA Student Society

    The Political Studies and Public Administration Society is a student run organization that brings together students who have interests and backgrounds in political studies and public administration. Our activities help students to form important connections, to enhance their professional skills, and to explore educational and career prospects.
