PSYCHOLOGICAL ASSESSMENT IN ARAB COUNTRIES:
HOW TO DEVELOP, ADAPT, AND USE TESTS
IN RESEARCH AND CLINICAL SETTINGS

Facilitators:
The workshop is delivered by Professor Dragos Iliescu, president of the
International Test Commission
- the international
organization concerned with promoting appropriate use of psychological,
educational, neuropsychological, and developmental tests and
inventories. The second day is facilitated by Dr. Pia Zeinoun, Assistant
Professor at the
Department
of Psychology, and Managing Director at the Psychological Assessment Center at the
Department of Psychiatry,
whose research focuses on development of culturally-appropriate constructs and tests.
Overview:
The
2-day workshop will provide participants with an in-depth knowledge of
the latest methods and analyses used in developing tests, including
methods of translation, adaptation, assembly, validation, and
data analysis. There will be practical examples, and opportunity to
discuss participant projects.
Target Audience:
The workshop will benefit those who
use tests and questionnaires in their research or clinical
practice, with Arab-speaking populations. The workshop is open to
professionals from the community, principal investigators,
co-investigators, research assistants and fellows, and graduate
students.

Registration fees for the two days are as follows:
- Regular fees: 350$
- Early bird (Oct. 6), graduate students, groups: 280$
