    ​The Second Inter-regional Research Conference on Science and Mathematics Education will be held at the American University of Beirut on December 8 - 9, 2018. The theme that is being highlighted in this Conference is "Interfacing Arab and Asia-Pacific Science and Mathematics Education Research ". It aims to bring together researchers from the Arab and Asian regions, as well as researchers from other parts of the world, to present research and discuss perspectives on science and mathematics education.  Research sessions include proposals in Arabic, English and French. Simultaneous translation between these languages will be available at the conference.

    The following plenary speakers will be featured at the conference:

    • Abdullah Ambusaidi, Sultan Qaboos University, Muscat, Oman
    • Iman Osta, Lebanese American University, Beirut, Lebanon
    • David Treagust, Curtin University, perth, Australia
    • Hak Ping Tam, National Taiwan Normal University, Taipei, Taiwan

    In order to ensure your participation in the conference, you have to register online by Sunday, November 25, 2018.

    يعقد المؤتمر الاقليمي البحثي الثاني حول تعليم العلوم والرياضيات في الجامعة الأميركية في بيروت في  8 - 9  كانون الأول (ديسمبر) 2018. يتمحور هذا المؤتمر حول موضوع "وصل البحث في تعليم العلوم والرياضيات في المنطقة العربية ومنطقة آسيا والمحيط الهادئ". ويهدف الى جمع الباحثين من المنطقة العربية والأسيوية، فضلاً عن باحثين من مناطق أخرى من العالم، لتقديم أبحاثهم ومناقشة وجهات النظر بشأن تعليم العلوم والرياضيات. سيكون هناك محاضرات باللغة العربية والانجليزية والفرنسية. والترجمة الفورية بين اللغات متاحة في المؤتمر.

    Le deuxième Colloque Inter-régional sur la Recherche en Didactique des Sciences et des Mathématiques aura lieu à l’Université Américaine de Beyrouth du 8 à 9 Decembre, 2018. Le thème de ce deusieme colloque est “Rencontre Arabes et l'Asie-Pacifique de la recherche en Didactique des sciences et des mathématiques”. Il vise à réunir des chercheurs du Monde Arabe, de l’Asie-Pacifique, et d’autres régions du monde pour présenter leurs travaux et partager différentes perspectives sur la didactique des sciences et des mathématiques. Les présentations orales seront en anglais ou en arabe ou en français. Une traduction simultanée sera offerte aux participants durant les sessions.
