Welcome to the Faculty of Health Sciences (FHS) at the American University of Beirut, a leading institution in public health and health sciences in Lebanon and the Arab region.
For more than 70 years, FHS has played a leading role in advancing public health and health sciences in Lebanon and the Arab region. Through interdisciplinary education, impactful research, and engagement with communities and policymakers, the Faculty contributes to addressing complex health challenges and improving population health.
Our programs prepare students to become professionals and leaders who are committed to evidence-based practice, social responsibility, and the pursuit of health equity. Whether working in research, policy, healthcare systems, or community initiatives, our graduates apply knowledge and innovation to improve the well-being of individuals and communities across the region and beyond.
At a time when the world faces multiple health challenges, from conflict and displacement to environmental degradation and growing health inequities, the role of public health institutions is more critical than ever. At FHS, we believe that education, research, and collaboration are powerful tools for building resilient health systems and promoting healthier societies.
