The Mouna Hraoui Scholarship in Public Health

​​​​​​​​​​The Faculty of Health Sciences (FHS) will be offering 1 full scholarship (covering full tuition) for graduate education in public health for Fall 2018-19. The funding for this scholarship, mainly tailored to Lebanese students, is from Dr. Mouna Hraoui.

About the Scholarship

The Mouna Hraoui Scholarship in Public Health is available to applicants to the following three degrees:

  • Master of Public Health (MPH)

  • Master of Science in Epidemiology (MS EPID)

  • Master of Science in Environmental Sciences - Major in  Environmental Health (MS EH) ​


  • Applicants can only be considered for scholarship once they are accepted on a regular basis in the GPHP program.

  • Applicants can only be considered for scholarship if they have passed the English Language Proficiency Requirement (ELPR) by achieving the required score on either EEE, TOEFL or IELTS.

  • Scholarships are awarded to applicants for the fall semester of every academic year. Scholarships are not awarded for mid-year admissions

  • Scholarships are awarded to new students admitted into the GPHP. Currently enrolled GPHP students are not eligible for scholarship.​

Selection Criteria

Prospective applicants will be evaluated based on the following criteria:

  • Financial need

  • Academic Standing

  • Commitment to Public Health

The applicant who will be awarded the Mouna Hraoui Scholarship will have to complete his/her degree within 2 years of enrollment, and is expected to provide FHS with 10 working hours per week starting his / her second term of enrollment.​​​​
